Kiley Lavanger – 2nd year consultant

Kiley is a 2nd year graduate student from Rockford, Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions from Creighton University. She was involved in sports for most of her life, but has experienced a number of injuries. Kiley has recognized that her own injury recovery was deficient because she never gave attention to her mental recovery, so she is interested in working with athletes who have been injured. She is also interested in how athletes can develop mental toughness in sport, and in the rest of their lives, and how that can influence their return from injury. Her capstone is an APP, exploring mental toughness within athletes with ACL injuries.
